Ms. Freitas is a Certified Family Law Specialist, certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization.

Admitted to the State Bar of California in December 1982; United States District Court, Central District of California; the United States Court of Appeals; and the Supreme Court of California.
She is a member of the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists and Los Angeles County Bar Association, Family Law Section.

Ms. Freitas has authored several articles on family law topics. Recent publications include, “Divorce and Your LAPD Pension” featured in The Blue Line publication in Sept. 2000; “Obtaining the Dissolution of Marriage Judgment – An Overview,” C&C’s Legal Update, Winter 1994; and “The New Mandatory Child Support Guidelines May Indeed Significantly Impact Your Existing Child Support,” C&C's Legal Update, Fall 1992. She was also a featured speaker at a Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company Seminar addressing “Preventing Malpractice in the Specialties.”

Ms. Freitas specializes in the practice of family law with an emphasis in dissolution of marriage litigation and participates in our legal malpractice defense team. Ms. Freitas has extensive experience in representing business owners and professionals in dissolution matters involving complicated/complex financial transactions.

Ms. Freitas was selected, and named in Los Angeles Magazine, as a
Southern California Super Lawyer; only 5% of the California Bar was given such recognition.
